t feels like year 2016 again and credit goes to Jio for this Deja Vu. The company, just like last year, has once again managed to create an upheaval in the telecom market by launching new Happy New Year Plans for year 2018. Vodafone, this time is one of the first companies to challenge this plan and has launched unlimited calls and 1GB daily data offers.

Vodafone has launched two new plans to compete against Jio’s Happy New Year Plans. The telecom operator is giving unlimited voice calls including roaming, 100SMSes and 1GB 3G/4G daily data under Rs 198 offer. Please note that this plan is available only for Vodafone prepaid users and comes with 28 days’ validity.

The second Vodafone plan for its prepaid users is Rs 229 offer. The Vodafone Rs 229 plan also offers 1GB daily data,  unlimited calls, free roaming and 100 SMSes per day for 28 days. However, the plan is valid for Vodafone new users.

Vodafone with its two new plans aims to target Jio’s Happy New Year offer. Jio on Friday evening announced two newly monthly subscription plans under the Happy New Year plans 2018. The cheaper plan comes at Rs 199 and offers 1.2GB 4G data daily for 28 days. The second plan costs RS 299 and offers 2GB daily data for the same 28 days validity.

Airtel also has few plans that could give a tough fight to Jio. The telecom giant last month launched a new plan at Rs 198 with 28 days validity. Airtel at Rs 198 offers 1GB of daily data per day for a period of 28days but with no talktime benefits.

Airtel has also unveiled a Rs 199 plan that competes directly with Jio’s new plans. It offers unlimited calls, 1GB per day 3G/ 4G, free outgoing in national roaming and free 100 SMS per day.  This plan also takes on Voda’s Rs 198 offer.

Jio Happy New Year offer V Vodafone Rs 199 offer

Both Jio and Vodafone are offering unlimited calls, 100 SMSes per day and free roaming at Rs 199. However Jio offers more data at the same price than the Vodafone. Jio gives 1.2GB data while Voda offers 1GB data.

On comparing the Jio and Airtel’s plan, we see that the former offers more data than the latter. Jio offers 1.2GB data whereas Airtel offer only 1GB data.
